INDOOR SOCCER LEAGUE
THE LEAGUE:
The CMSA co-ed indoor soccer league will consist of one 8-week session running from February 15th through April 11th. To kick off the season on February 15th, there will be an 'open play' scrimmage -- a mixed, round robin two hours of play where all players can be assessed in an effort to create five equally balanced teams. Team rosters will then be finalized after the open play session, and participants will be placed onto one of five teams for six-on-six play. In addition to the round-robin session on the 15th, each team will play 6 nights worth of regular season games and at least one night’s worth of playoffs.
LEVEL OF COMPETITION:
As each player’s skill level will be considered in the creation of teams, the CMSA outdoor season is geared towards players of beginning, intermediate and advanced skill levels. Some prior soccer experience would be helpful.
REGISTRATION: Registration will ONLY be available online through the CMSA website (www.chicagomsa.com). Please select the link for online registration, which will then ask you for contact information, emergency info, etc. Afterwards, you will be linked to the 'shopping cart' to select any option your package (Soccer Registration Fee or CMSA & Soccer Registration Fee). Please note, there is a $2 service charge for online registration.
SCHEDULE:
The CMSA Soccer League will test a new format this season. Each week of the regular season will have four 28-minute games. One team will have a bye week each week, and the other four teams will play two 28-minute games each that evening. Standings will tallied based on regular season performance to determine seeds for the playoffs.
6:30-9:00pm on Feb 15th – Welcome and Round-Robin Tournament
7:00-9:00pm on Feb 22nd, Feb 29th, March 7th, March 14th, and March 21st – Regular Season Games
7:00-9:00pm on April 4th and April 11th - Playoffs
*No games will be played on March 28th
COST: Per participant cost is $60 prior to February 7th. After February 7th, cost for registration will be $70. In addition, all participants must also be members of CMSA, which provides access to a year’s worth of activities for $20.
